West
Chester University is a public, state school located
just outside Philadelphia. It is a regional,
comprehensive institution committed to providing
access and offering high-quality undergraduate
education, select post-baccalaureate and graduate
programs, and a variety of educational and cultural
resources for its students, alumni, and citizens
of southeastern Pennsylvania.
Not only did Pat Croce attend West Chester University
but he has an honorary PHD, he is currently their
Fund Co-Chairman, and he’s been a frequent
guest lecturer. The president of the school,
Dr. Madeline Wing Adler, had always been an invigorating
and inspiring role model to Pat. Throughout
Dr. Adler’s 15 year tenure she has transformed
WCU into one of the best comprehensive universities
in the nation. She is a visionary, dynamic,
an inspirational and intellectual leader, as well
as a fabulous person, who is passionately committed
to the excellence of learning.
Pat wrote about her in his best selling book,
Lead or Get off the Pot!
Her philosophy of leadership is to share her
vision and involve everyone on her passionate
team, not just an elite few. She sees her
employees as experts in their own right, as unique
sources of knowledge and experience and wisdom,
and as the keys to implementing change for the
better.
