Consistent with Gospel values and in the Spirit of Mercy, Mercy Neighborhood Ministries lives and works with its neighbors in the Tioga Community. They continue to protect children from life on the street, giving them a safe haven away from drugs and violence while providing a caring refuge for the frail, disabled, and elderly as well as persons with special needs.
The Mercy Ministries works to empower adults, especially women, in developing a circle of faith where they explore their own spirituality, and discover the power to face their many challenges by creating loving relationships and supportive friendships for lonely adults. They assist people who live with the effects of poverty and violence and help to find the services that they need. The Mercy also partners with other civic and faith-based organizations in the community to provide health, education, and social services to people in need while building a stronger community one neighbor at a time.
Pat Croce has been involved with the Mercy Neighborhood Ministries for over two decades driving fundraisers and raising money for their cause. He recently helped in the completion of the brand new Mercy Family Center in North Philadelphia not far from where he was born.
